Alpaca Shearing

On Saturday you can witness Alpaca Shearing at it’s best. With Farmer Scott’s Dad, Ranald organising this it will be a sure hit. The Mungindi Showground’s will host this event so you can get a taste for what living in the bush is like while listening to your favourite tunes.

Gumboot Throwing Competition

Compete against your friends and see who can throw the gumboot the furthest. This is another unique Mungindi experience available on the Saturday of the Music Festival.

Classic Cars

As an important part of this year’s Mungindi Music Festival held on the long weekend of Oct 2nd–4th we are running a Classic Motor Jamboree. We are offering a novel range of prizes for the first cars to arrive in town during the week of the Festival and the driver of the car that has travelled the furthest will be presented with a clarinet signed by our Patron Don Burrows who will also throw in a free lesson in exchange for a ride in the car. There will be a classic and vintage car parade at the Showground on the Saturday and wonderful photo opportunities all weekend long.

Farmer Scott

Scott from ‘Farmer wants a wife’ just happens to live at Mungindi and could be at this years Mungindi Music Festival... so keep your eye out over the weekend for this local farmer.

The third Mungindi Music Festival will be on the first weekend in October 2009!
