Are the concerts in the same location?

No, the concerts are in numerous locations. The Festival will begin on Friday afternoon in the main street of town, Friday night is at the Mungindi Town Hall located in the main street. Saturday morning is in the main street and Saturday lunch onwards is located at the Mungindi Showground’s on the outskirts of town. Sunday morning is located at “Collybidgelah” just 8km from town and Sunday night Finale is at the River Crossing Park on the Qld side of town. These settings will create the perfect backdrop to all the concerts.

 

Is there concession tickets for Seniors?

No, as all ticket prices are very well priced we are unable to give concession tickets to Seniors.

 

What sort of music should I expect?

There will be all sorts of music to suit all tastes. Jazz, classical, folk, rock and country will be in the program for the weekend.

 

Can I get mobile reception in Mungindi?

Yes, all 3G network coverage mobile phones will have reception in Mungindi. Please note Digital Mobile phones will have NO reception in Mungindi.

 

How do I get to Mungindi if I don’t have a car?

From Sydney you can fly to Moree and hire a car to Mungindi. The Country link train service also runs to Moree arriving in on the Thursday night. A bus will then pick train passengers up from Moree on the Thursday, Cost for the bus is $20. If you wish to book the bus from Moree please contact Margaret Harrison on 02 6753 2358 or email mmh3@bigpond.com. From Brisbane there is Greyhound Bus line which can take you to Goondiwindi.  You can hire a car from Goondiwindi or Brisbane.

 

How much are student’s tickets?

School age children will be free (except for Friday night where they are a full priced ticket due to seating limitations). Any children under the age of 18 who DOES NOT attend school will be full price. University attendees are full price.

 

What concerts are free?

 

Is there power at the showgrounds?

Tent city guests have a light in the rooms but there are limited power points in the kitchen area.

Primitive camping only is available for caravans, tents and swags free of charge at the showground.

 

Accommodation - Where can I Stay?

Motels/Hotels are located an hour from Mungindi at Moree, St George, Goondiwindi etc. See ‘Accommodation’ for a full list of Motels/Hotels. Caravans are welcome at the Caravan Park, please call the caravan park to book. Tent City will be located at the Showground. If you supply your own caravan, tent or swag you are able to stay free of charge at the showground. Please note you must be a ticket holder to enter.

 

What amenities are available at the showground’s?

For Tent City guests hot/cold showers and toilets are available. For primitive campers there are separate facilities available at the showground.  

 

What is the cost to hire a tent at Tent City?

For 4 nights including continental breakfast (cereal, toast etc) it is $150 per person twin share. It is the same price if you stay 1 night or 4 (to cover costs of tent erecting). You must supply your own linen/sleeping bags. Tent City Tents have 2 people per tent. Tent City will be located at the showground.

 

Can I park my caravan at the Showground?

Yes, however there is only primitive camping available.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday there will be musicians playing on the street, all are welcome to come down to St George Street and enjoy. On Saturday morning the sunrise concerts will be held at Barwon River Park in the main street. SCHOOL CHILDREN ARE FREE ALL WEEKEND (except Friday night, due to limited seating).
