Hotel/Motel
Hotel/Motel accommodation in Mungindi is limited but there is lots of good Motel/caravan park accommodation available in the surrounding areas. Moree and St George are about an hour and a quarter away, and Goondiwindi about an hour and a half. The roads to these towns are sealed. All the accommodation in the surrounding district is listed below.
Tent City
These luxury tents have a floor, 2 beds and a light. You will need to bring your own bedding. Unfortunately whether you stay one night or 4 nights, the cost is $150 per person twin share ($300 per tent) which includes a continental breakfast. The committee is charged a fee for the tent once it is erected and are charged the same amount regardless of the number of nights it is used. There’s plenty to do all weekend so why not come for the 4 nights!!! There are showers and toilets nearby for guests use. There is also camping at the Mungindi Showgrounds but please be aware that there are very limited facilities available at the showgrounds.
Primitive Camping - Mungindi Show Grounds
If you have your own caravan, mobile home, tent or swag there is camping available at the Mungindi Showgrounds free of charge. There is access to toilets and showers at the Showgrounds. No booking is necessary for campsites but you need to be a ticket holder to enter the grounds. Tickets can be purchased online soon. Camping is available from 25th September to the 5th October 2009.
Mungindi has limited accommodation so it’s best to book early!
